Momma Always Told Me To Share

I’ve been playing around the idea recently on how to share content I find on the web. I’ve tried going the Google Reader route and have my site output a daily digest of items I shared. My web host laughed at that idea. (Well, not really. It just disabled some server features for security reasons.) Now, I’m trying to share articles directly on my site.

If you’ve visited my site recently (do people visit web sites directly anymore?), you’ll noticed that posts that have been shared from other sites look a little different than posts written by me. To help differentiate my posts and these shared posts, shared posts display the web’s universal icon both to the right of the post title and in the background.

Is this a good idea? Do you feel like I’m spamming your news feeds (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) by doing this? Do you have any better ideas? I’d appreciate some feedback. Thanks.
