It’s been a busy week for me, so I haven’t had a moment to look through the photos I took from my walk around the Boardwalk around Lady Bird Lake. Now that things have calmed down this weekend, let’s take a peek at one of my favorite places to explore.

I have not explored every part of Lady Bird Lake yet. This morning, I added another part to my list: the north shore near Austin High School.
The final place I visited on Friday was Waterloo Park in downtown Austin. I’ve been wanting to check it out ever since it opened.
Continuing on my trip around central Austin, I stopped by Hemphill Park. While I’ve been in the area before to check out Spiderhouse, the Ballroom, and Arcade UFO, I’ve never actually explored the area.
So let’s do a little exploring.
This morning took me to three different parks: Central Park in Hyde Park, Hemphill Park, and Waterloo Park.
Since I took a number of photos at each place, each will get their own dedicated park. So let’s start with my trip to Central Park.
After another rough week of getting my sleep pattern back under control (unsuccessfully), I decided to get out of bed and head on out to somewhere again. I decided to revisit the Mueller area this time. While I’ve been here before, there was some other places I wanted to check out this time.
I had a bit of an off day yesterday, which probably lead to my trouble with sleeping. I woke up at 5 in the morning unable to go back to sleep. I had the day off of work, so I figured maybe I should grab my new camera and get out. So I did.
Outside of an outdoor event a couple months ago, I haven’t gone to a large indoor gathering in quite some time. (You know… pandemic and whatnot.) But as things were looking like they’ve calmed down (which it actually hasn’t unfortunately), I decided to get tickets to an the Game Grumps Live Tournament of Gamers show.
To celebrate some changes going on at work, we were treated to a trip to Dell Diamond. While I’ve been here once before for work, this is the first time I could enjoy it as a spectator.
It’s also the first time I took my new camera out for a spin. Most of these shots are taken at the max 3x optical zoom. I still have a lot to learn about how to use it, but i’m glad these came out really well!
Since the pandemic started, going out to places have been few and far between. So it was nice to get out for a little, watch a friend of a friend (and friends of that friend!) play some tunes, and catch up a little with friends.
Oh yeah. And a bird fell on my head.
