You may have noticed that my posting on social media has been almost nonexistent. With my job search not going all that great and my funds almost running out, I’ve been a bit down in the dumps. I haven’t even been in the mood to bitch about some random this, that, or the other. That’s how out of it I’ve been.
Things could possibly get worse if my job hunt doesn’t turn around anytime soon.
If I’m not hired by the middle of June, I’ll need to start packing up and move back to Houston with my parents. (Not to mention breaking my lease if I can’t find anyone to take it over.) This is not exactly the best scenario. (Not that my parents are bad people or anything.)
To help try keeping me in Austin for at least another month, I’m going to be auctioning off over 100 of my personal possessions. The auctions will start going live this Thursday afternoon. To help promote the auctions, I will be livestreaming various games related to the auctions.

A long time ago (I think), a friend of mine gave me a computer he didn’t need anymore. (It’s made a great and simple media center computer.) He also gave me a couple of pieces of software with it.

The video encoding hardware includes both Composite and S-Video video inputs, Stereo audio inputs, and a Coax (RF) input. Two Firewire ports are also on the hardware: one to connect to your Mac and one as a passthrough from another Firewire device.

How the 3-Channel Mixer Works If I read the manual to this device correctly, the audio inputs and output work a little weird. The audio output is in stereo. Input Channel 1 will record audio on the Right Channel of the Stereo output. Input Channel 2 will output audio on the Left Channel of the Stereo Output. Input Channel 3 will record audio in Stereo (Left and Right Channel) and will output as Stereo. This device is meant monaural sound but can work with stereo as well.

Details You are bidding on a used Academic Version of Apple Final Cut Studio for Intel-based Macs. This is the first release of the Final Cut Studio suite from Apple, which includes Final Cut Pro 5.1, Motion 2, DVD Studio Pro 4, and Soundtrack Pro.
Final Cut Studio is pretty much considered THE video editing suite for editors. Final Cut Pro is used to edit videos, Motion is used to create animations, DVD Studio Pro makes DVDs (with all the fancy interactive menus), and Soundtrack Pro lets you tweak your audio to perfection.
This has worked for me on every version of Mac OS X from 10.4 Tiger to 10.6 Snow Leopard (on an Intel Mac mini).
Requirements PowerPC Macs need at least a 867 MHz or faster G4 or G5 processor. Intel Macs ned at least an Intel Core Duo processor. I highly recommend PowerPC Mac users read the system specifications (http://support.apple.com/kb/SP514?viewlocale=en_US) as there are a lot of if/then/but’s. If you are only want to install some of the apps, you can read up on their requirements there as well.

I really think this TuneBase FM Transmitter for the iPhone and iPod is a great device, but I haven’t had much luck selling it. The first time I posted, it didn’t sell. The second time I posted, it sold but the person who bought it never paid for it (and he bought it for a buck!).
Well, they always say third time’s the charm, so here’s to hoping that is true.
I’ve done a little research this time and found out that not only is this device compatible with the iPhone 2G, but unofficially (according to the interwebs), it works with the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. Will it also work with the iPhone 4G? Who knows.

Details You are bidding on a used (but in good condition) Belkin TuneBase FM for iPhone or iPod with ClearScan. This FM Transmitter let’s you listen to audio over your car radio from your iPhone and iPod. When used with the iPhone, you can listen to music from your iPod library or from the many streaming audio apps, like Pandora and Last.FM. (That’s one feature I really loved. Take that, terrestrial radio!)
The ClearScan feature allows you to find the clearest radio station to broadcast over, which is a nice time saver. If your radio has an Aux jack or you have a cassette-adapter, you can use the Line-Out port on the TuneBase instead to get an even clearer reception.
Another thing that made this device great is the flexable neck, allowing you to tilt the TuneBase in just about any direction you want. Definitely useful to ensure your hand isn’t TOO far from the wheel when changing tracks.
The FM Transmitter worked beautifully in my 2003 Toyota Corolla. Mind you, I disconnected my radio antenna to make sure I had the clearest signal possible, but that was fine with me as the radio bored me. Anyways, I no longer need this device anymore as I sold my iPhone 2G. The TuneBase was given to me as a gift for Christmas 2008.
In the Box Included in this auction is everything that originally came with the device, including the Belkin TuneBase FM Transmitter itself, its box, its manuals, the various sleeves and spacer pads for the iPod series of devices and iPhone, and Fit Ring for the cigarette lighter/power outlet.

iPhone Compatibility This is the only model of the Belkin TuneBase FM made for the iPhone AND iPod. There is an VERY similar version of the TuneBase FM available (F8Z179) but that one only supports the iPod.
Officially, this model of the Belkin TuneBase FM was made to work with the original iPhone (1st generation, 2G), but rumblings on the Internet confirm it also works with the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. As the iPhone 4G is just barely coming out, I cannot confirm if it works on those devices yet.
Please note, it does NOT allow you to hear your phone calls over the radio when used with an iPhone (which would have been awesome if it did).
