I haven’t taken a vacation in a while, so I decided “Oh why not. I have some vacation days to use.” So for the week of Independence Day, I took some time for myself to enjoy the simple things.
I have not explored every part of Lady Bird Lake yet. This morning, I added another part to my list: the north shore near Austin High School.
The final place I visited on Friday was Waterloo Park in downtown Austin. I’ve been wanting to check it out ever since it opened.
Continuing on my trip around central Austin, I stopped by Hemphill Park. While I’ve been in the area before to check out Spiderhouse, the Ballroom, and Arcade UFO, I’ve never actually explored the area.
So let’s do a little exploring.
This morning took me to three different parks: Central Park in Hyde Park, Hemphill Park, and Waterloo Park.
Since I took a number of photos at each place, each will get their own dedicated park. So let’s start with my trip to Central Park.
After another rough week of getting my sleep pattern back under control (unsuccessfully), I decided to get out of bed and head on out to somewhere again. I decided to revisit the Mueller area this time. While I’ve been here before, there was some other places I wanted to check out this time.
I had a bit of an off day yesterday, which probably lead to my trouble with sleeping. I woke up at 5 in the morning unable to go back to sleep. I had the day off of work, so I figured maybe I should grab my new camera and get out. So I did.
Some more pics from yesterday. Some art, some seating, and an abandoned cemetery???
Needed to pick up something from the hardware store. Realized I could just walk there! So I did.
